We Fix Your Pc can clean your PC and make sure it’s running quicker and more efficiently.

Prices start from just £45.00 for a general service and clean up and in most cases that’s all you’ll need to pay. Some less powerful machines may benefit from a memory upgrade but we will discuss any additional services or upgrades before carrying out extra work. If you are unable to drop it off at the workshop we’ll collect it from the Cardiff, Pontypridd, Newport, Cwmbran and Pontypool areas.

 

PC stopped working? Maybe a corrupt operating system?

Worried that your data has been lost? Most times the data is safe, you just need someone who knows how to extract it. Often an innocent download will corrupt the operating system software and leave you with a non starting PC. We can in many cases recover the computer with all data intact. At times we may need to rescue the data and re-install the operating system before adding the data back into your PC. If we do need to re-install Windows* we also ensure that all drivers are installed and the machine is fully updated from Microsoft as well as running with a free up to date anti virus package.

*A full re-installation of Windows is dependent on the customer having a Genuine License Key – usually on a sticker on the side of the PC or base of a laptop.

Prices for data recovery and recovery of the windows operating system usually cost between £60.00 and £100.00. Sometimes, if it turns out to be a minor repair, we will correct the problem and complete a service / clean up  for the above price of £45.00. All prices will be advised on initial contact with a customer and any changes would be discussed as the job was in progress.

 

Home broadband and wirelsss issues.

It’s so frustrating when you are sent all the equipment but you cannot get your broadband connected or your laptop to pick up the internet via the wireless option. A call out to set up your wireless routers and to get the internet working on your desktop machines and wireless devices costs just £40.00.

 

Just need to know how things work?

We have several clients who have the computer or laptop, have access to the internet and have an idea of how to double click the mouse but they don’t know the basics like internet browsing, ‘Googling’, creating and saving documents, transferring pictures from cameras etc. Somethings we take for granted are totally alien to others.

We Fix Your PC offer tuition to assist those unsure of how it all works. Rates are £20.00 per hour (minimum booking – 2 hours) and we’ll come to you so you are in familiar surroundings with your own equipment. With the vast array of free software available you’d be amazed at how much you can learn without having to buy fancy software but just having that extra knowledge.

All prices above include our skills, time, transport costs (within reason – an additional charge may be incurred for customers who are much further afield) and advice including the use of free software available to all.  New hardware or replacement parts are not included in the prices above. In most cases they are not required.
